Adding another whisky to its collection after some one hundred years in existence? Yes, Jack Daniel’s did it! Jack Daniel’s lovers will certainly be blown away: this whisky is the first in its kind to emerge from the Tennessee distillery.
Whisky built its reputation on time spent in the barrel, which over time gives it the amber colouring that is synonymous with quality. But the Jack Daniel’s Unaged Tennessee Rye, selling for about $50 all over the world, is a clear drink. Far removed from its original image, wouldn’t you say? In keeping with tradition, this whisky is sweet and fruity on the nose and has a firm taste on the palate.
Rye has always been part of the Jack Daniel's family, but never its staple grain. Sold in limited quantities, the Jack Daniel’s Unaged Tennessee Rye is made up of 70% rye, 18% corn and 12% malted barley. Moreover, it comes in small bottles (a little more than 750 ml) that give you the perfect chance to taste an unaged whisky.
