Initially producing 100% natural syrups and bitters, Quebec’s Le Lab has modernized an age-old drink with great success with its Val Caudalies vermouth, winning the CTAQ innovation prize in 2016 and a bronze medal at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2017 in the apéritif category. Sold $19, it is crafted using superior-quality fortified wine from the Val Caudalies vineyards in Quebec’s Eastern Townships with the addition of 13 aromatics.
