Deckstool, the Skateboard Transformed

July 04, 2013

A broken skateboard: a classic in the skateboarding world! The Podlaski brothers, who set up shop in the US state of Pennsylvania, had the brilliant idea of recycling discarded skateboards and breathing new life into them. Today Podlaski Design is making them live on as Deckstools.

Expect to pay about $200 for your ultra-sleek and, quite frankly, unique stool. The seat, made from old skateboard decks, is surprisingly comfortable and impressively durable. The illustrations and artistic work brought to each piece is unmatched. Your one-of-a-kind piece of furniture will blend seamlessly into your urban setting.

Don’t you just love the Deckstool? The company offers a few other products modelled along the same concept – the Skatecafe (tabletops) and the Deckbench. So are you ready to add a bit of colour to your décor?
