The first plastic chair industrially produced in the 50’s, the Eames Plastic Armchair was honoured at the International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design held at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Today, it shines with its own light among the items of the Vitra collection.
The chair, designed by Charles & Ray Eames, features integrated armrests and offers an exceptional level of comfort. Choose from a wide selection of bases and enjoy maximum flexibility in a variety of settings. The chair is offered in different shades that range from classic black to pure white to bright red, allowing for numerous combinations. It retails for $700.
The RAR 1950 is ultra durable. The coloured seat shell is made of polypropylene with a special additive that slows down the fading process. This classically modern chair is, without a doubt, a design icon!
