Aeroboat, a True Jewel by Claydon Reeves

July 11, 2014

Claydon Reeves, an England-based design studio with four designers, drew inspiration from the Spitfire WWII fighter plane—built at the end of the 1930s—to create the Aeroboat.

This luxury boat sells for 5 million dollars and only 10 are scheduled for production. Each boat will be equipped with a supercharged Rolls Royce Merlin engine that can achieve a speed of up to 95 knots, making it one of the fastest yachts on the market. Moreover, the engine is identical to those used in the Spitfire fighter aircraft during World War II. Claydon Reeves tracked original engines in good condition, restored them completely and added some technological advances.

Made of carbon fibre, Kevlar and wood veneer varnished by British craftsmen, the Aeroboat can be configured to suit its owner’s preferences, and Claydon Reeves has shown great flexibility when it comes to the boat’s layout below deck. A true jewel that exceeds our expectations!
