If you squint while looking and the 2015 Jaguar F-Type Coupe, its elongated hood and rearward-sloping roofline will shadow the silhouette of Jaguar’s classic E-Type.
The F-Type Coupe is the absolutely stunning, all-aluminum production version of the Ian Callum-designed C-X16 concept car that was unveiled at the Frankfurt auto show in 2011.
Three versions will be available in Canada next spring. The standard model will come with a 340 hp supercharged V6, and the S model will have a 380 hp version of that engine. The top-of-the-line F-Type R Coupe will come with a ground-quaking, 550 hp supercharged V8. All versions will use an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Canadian pricing will only be released in February of next year, but in the U.S. the F-Type Coupe costs between $65,000 and $99,000.
Enthusiasts have been patiently waiting 30 years, when the last E-Type left the factory, for another two-seater sports coupe from Jaguar. The F-Type Coupe has been worth the wait.
