Sennheiser recently launched its new wireless RS 220 headphones, offering a level of quality usually reserved for wired models.
The RS 220 headphones can be worn for several hours with no discomfort due to their velour ear pads and circumaural design. Based on Sennheiser’s HD 650 model, they offer finely balanced high-fidelity sound, which is sure to interest audiophiles.
Note that contrary to similar headphones usually used with home theatres, these are in stereo only, and do not offer any surround sound, 3D, bass accentuation or other such features.
As for their wireless capabilities, they rely on Kleer technology with no loss of audio and offer 6 to 8 hours of autonomy. That being said, the headphones run on two rechargeable AAA batteries, so you can charge the batteries as needed for longer use.
The RS 220 by Sennheiser are high-end headphones, with a price to match (approximately $650).
