Dell launched a very interesting iPhone and Adroid app in Canada. Using Voice-Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology, Dell Voice allows users to obtain a Canadian telephone number at no cost, in addition to making free outgoing calls to many Canadian cities via a 3G, 4G or WiFi network. Dell Voice is based on the Fongo technology, the company behind another similar service, freephoneline.ca.
Registering takes only minutes, after which you are given a genuine telephone number. Or, you can choose to transfer your current number for a $25 fee.
In addition to being compatible with Android and iOS platforms, Dell Voice can also be used directly on a computer.
Practical for calling friends while abroad or turning your tablet into a telephone capable of receiving calls and text messages.
